Eleanor Rigby

Liz Dunn is overweight, crabby, plain, and alone, and is almost resigned to her fate of being nobody's wife or mother. As the Hale-Bopp comet streaks across the Vancouver skies, another comet crashes into her life - a young man admitted to the local hospital with her information inscribed on his Medic Alert bracelet: 'In case of emergency, contact Liz Dunn'. This triggers a chain of events that take Liz to the other side of the world and back, endangering her life just as a real chance at happiness finally seems within reach.
