Émile Cinq-Mars series 01 : City of ice

Top cop Emile Cinq-Mars works on his own, his network of informants always enabling him to make the big arrests. But then biker gangs backed by the Russian Mafia start to take over Montreal, and Cinq-Mars realizes that his snitches are linked to the CIA - and turning up dead. Doubting everything he once believed about himself and his career, the detective tries to solve both problems by beginning a war on two fronts, all the while trying to save a mysterious young female American operative from the clutches of the mob.
